Babies babies babies:)
Dear friends of our have been trying to have children for a few years now. This past week we celebrated the coming birth of their first "boy". They are due the begining fo February. This week was her last week of work so we had her baby shower now. The dr's say it's a boy, well with these gifts we are sure hoping the doctor isn't wrong!
This is a new technique I learned called chenilling. The duck is outlined and the star is chenilled and the yellow lines on the sides are chenilled. It is four fabrics sewed together than cut into strips then sewn in whatever design you want. It is a lovely way to accent a simple blanket.
The backing was a simple blue feet pattern.
As a side toy I made a fabric square. I had alot of fabric strips left over and raggedy squares from previous projects. So I sewed the strips of fabric together and folded them over. I sewed them onto the edges of raggedy squares. Then quilted in a simple square pattern.
