For the faithful few who still check in!
It has been a while since I have crafted, but here are the latest and greatest creations!

Every Christmas we make chocolates and gingerbread!

This year we made two small houses and a tree. The houses are for co workers and our babysitter.
The tree is ours!

Here is one I made for my first pastor and his wife when they left our church. They were very instrumental in my walk right after I rededicated my life to Christ.

This was the first "non ragged" baby blanket I did. I made it for friends of ours from church. Not so nice, but it has held up!

One of my earlier baby blankets.

A raggedy, I borrowed the pattern off of a blanket I had seen before. There is no batting due to weight and warmth. I didn't want it to be too heavy. I made it for one of the cousins!

Ha, it even has a touch of our old flooring!

I actually did this pillow for our third child before I did the other pillow. This was made up of scrap pieces of fabric from our local fabric store. I was playing around with my new sewing machine and came up with this pillow cover.

The backing I fell in love with it is a great Muskoka flannel.

And of course the pillow is from the clearence isle of walmart! $0.99 a metre! And it is cute little teddy bears!

Christmas is coming!!

This is a Christmas tree made of different sizes of gingerbread stars. Decorated with mini m&m's and icing for snow. Holly berries for the fence and home made chocolate critters! Lots of fun and easy to do.

Hmm, Maybe she is a touch spoiled! Here is yet another horse item for our daughter!
I made this pillow this weekend. The front panel she picked up from a garage sale. The backing is a flannel tye dye that she has been eyeing up at the fabric store forever!

The size of the pillow didn't match any regular store bought pillow form. So I had to make one. I found this cottom fabric in the discount section of the fabric section in Walmart for $0.99/metre. It turned out to be a pretty inexpensive gift idea. We decided to use the other three horse pannels and make pillows for her girlfriends for their birthdays!

Yorkshire pudding... not your ordinary craft!
Last night I made my husband a roast. Seeing as I am not a big fan of roast beef, I went on a search for something to make with it... and ofcourse what is roast beef without yorkshire pudding?! I found this great recipe online, equiped with all the warnings and realities that my first few tries would likely fall in.
So with a brave spirit and alot of prayer I went right to it!
They turned out wonderful. So wonderful in fact I had to take a picture and post it!

Sorry y'all I have now opened the blog to anonymous commenting....boohaha!
This little teddy bear beauty was a cross stitch I had intended for our third little one. Instead it was given to very dear friends of ours when their first little girl was born last year ( days before our third little guy was born!)

Christmas party

At our daughters old school, we did this cake for a Christmas party. We used mini m&m's for the lights. It was a lot of fun to do. The cake board however was incredibly HUGE, because we had to write everyone's name around the cake on the board. BUt the kids loved it! this is one of the VERY FEW cakes I have done where we actually rented the pan. Well worth the $2.00 in this case. But I always suggest trying to find a cake you can create on your own!

7 or 8? I can't remeber which birthday we did this one for.

This one has become a favorite. It is a great cake because it is easy to do and there are So many different options with it. You can pick your child's favorite colors. Or go with the colors of thier room, or even with what they are going to be wearing for that day ( this only works if you are accustomed to picking out their clothes the night before!)

6th birthday!

Ahhh yes the princess cake! What little girl doesn't get a princess cake at some point in her birthday career?! We also have made the stand up princess cake but I can't seem to find the picture for it. You can make it with either ice cream or actual cake.

For the icecream version line your pan with saran wrap then scoop in the soft
icecream. Refreeze, then place your barbie half ( available at craft stores, or the bulk barn) and then, using icing tinted the color of your ice cream, put a top on your barbie! We used frozen whipped topping to pipe a loop around the bottom of the barbies dress to make her look a little more fancy.

5th Birthday

This one is always a fun one to do. I have done it for different occassions, like end of the year class parties, and group birthdays. It also looks nice if you do each cupcake as a flower and have a paper vase at the bottom.

An easy way to get the icing on the sides of the cupcakes are to freeze them slightly and use a fork in the bottom to hold the cupcake while you do the sides.

My sister in law, made a beautiful butterfly cake for her daughters first birthday. So in keeping I thought it would be nice to start with my daughters first birthday cake ( she's 11 now!)
This is my new "crafty" Site.

Just a spot to post all the projects and who they have found homes with over the years. I am hoping people can find ideas and can send me a few ideas of their own. Enjoy browsing!
